Football Team Places 31 Student-Athletes on Big 12 Honor Roll

The Nebraska football team was well-represented on the 2005 Fall Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll with 31 players recognized for their standout efforts in the classroom. The 31 football players were part of a group of 235 overall Husker student-athletes on the Fall Honor Roll.

The Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognizes all student-athletes who earned a 3.0 grade-point average or higher in the previous semester.

Among the 31 football student-athletes honored, six earned 4.0 grade-point averages in the fall, including Bryan Benzel, Daniel Bullocks, Wes Cammack, Kurt Mann, Dane Todd and Tyler Wortman. Mann and Todd were both named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the seventh consecutive semester, while fifth-year seniors Blake Tiedtke and Mike Stuntz each earned their ninth Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll citation. Overall, Coach Bill Callahan’s football team had 21 players who were named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll for at least the third time.
